The event, which takes place in Londons famous York Hall, East London, will receive nation wide coverage due to its link with the crisis charity. This link means that tickets are 100% free of charge in return for a small donation of a bar of chocolate or can of tinned food. The event will not doubt have an amazing atmosphere and will do the UK industry proud in the eyes of the media and fans alike. Although fans who pre ordered tickets will receive first entry to the event, it is not too late to be a part of British wrestling history. Crisis work with Londons homeless community and at Christmas their work load is greatly increased. This is due to the special Christmas hostels they set up for seven days from December 23rd. In an effort to help this extremely valuable cause we are asking fans to make a simple donation of food in return for the free show. This donation can be as small as one tin of beans to several larger items. Here is a list of what we will be accepting for this very special event - Tinned food (beans, tomatoes etc) - Chocolate bars (Mars etc) Please only bring these items People can also make completely voluntary cash donations in buckets that will be located around the York Hall on December 16th. Where is your contribution going? Christmas 2006 is Crisis 35th Crisis Open Christmas. For 34 years, Crisis Open Christmas has provided homeless people with warmth, companionship, food and a safe place to sleep over the Christmas holiday. Over 34 years Crisis has helped 20,000 guests, served a quarter of a million meals and has been supported by the involvement of more than 30,000 volunteers Crisis Open Christmas has constantly evolved to reflect the changing needs of homeless people. Today, the majority of our guests may have some form of accommodation. But they continue to need companionship and access to services that they may struggle to find the rest of the year. Crisis Open Christmas provides an opportunity for homeless people to meet old friends and make new ones at what can be a lonely time enjoy a range of esteem building therapies and services, such as hairdressing, massage, eye and foot care take advantage of over 20 on site services (health/housing/legal/job opportunities) learn new skills such as IT, Literacy, Maths and ESOL Start to begin to rebuild their lives and look forward to the New Year with renewed hope and confidence. COC also provides an opportunity for the wider public to volunteer their time and skills at Christmas Understand what it is to be homeless. We feel that this is a great step forward for the UK scene in our efforts to re-establish British wrestling as a community friendly form of entertainment. We also feel that by asking for tinned food not only is this a lot easier to contribute by our fans than money alone etc but that we at RQW feel comfortable that it is going directly to the homeless people. We hope the UK wrestling fans can show their support to this project and turn out in force to support this truly unique and rewarding partnership. We are confident that this will be a success for everyone involved and hopefully plan to make this an annual event for the UK wrestling calendar. For more details on Crisis and the work they do visit their official website at: www.crisis.org.uk Biggest Christmas gift ever given to UK wrestling fans To celebrate Christmas in style RQW have pulled together with the top companies in the UK to give fans a wrestling gift like no other. On Saturday December 16th RQW will work together with the UK and Irelands top wrestling promotions to present a massive one night inter-promotional British Heavyweight title tournament taking place at the prestigious London venue, York Hall! The 8 man knock out tournament will feature every wrestler being sent by their individual promotions to crown the Brand new RQW champion. This belt, formerly held by Robbie Brookside, will belong to UK wrestling and its fans, and can and will be defended in companies all over England. RQW has some major plans for the UK wrestling scene and promises that once these plans are finalised, the positive impact it intends to have on the UK scene, its promotions and its fans will be extremely large. RQW will be an organisation for the benefit of everybody involved in the UK scene and not to its detriment. Real Quality Wrestling is a concept NOT a wrestling promotion which is why so many, once rival, companies have now come together to be a part of what many are saying could be the biggest leap the UK wrestling scene has made since it was taken from our national TV in 1988. So wheres the Christmas present? This huge show, being recorded for SKY TV, will feature state of the art production and a selection of the top wrestling talent the UK has to offer. If this monumental event isnt good enough to wet your appetite then the best is yet to come. To show the fans RQWs commitment to the British wrestling industry, tickets for this monster event are absolutely FREE!! All fans have to do is to bring a small food donation as requested above. This item can be as big or small as you like. Companies already sending talent for the first two RQW events include: 1PW IPW:UK FWA IWW Premier Promotions All Star Wrestling NWA:UK Hammerlock 3CW SAS WZW FWA:A SUMMIT Wrestling GPW FSW There has never been an offer off this kind for UK fans and RQW are proud to bring it to you as part of their new drive to finally unite the best UK, Scottish and Irish wrestling promotions every month under one umbrella. This will allow them to showcase their talents on a large and national scale with higher productions values than any past UK company can offer. RQW Chairman Len Davies is also the owner of Spectrum Multimedia and has equipment, knowledge and contacts unlike any other previously used to record and present UK wrestling. Many of the companies involved in this project feel that this could be the leap needed to bring the British wrestling industry back to the masses.
