In the past week or so a certain Wrestling Promoter has been putting it about that Ian Dowland is a racist.

Let me tell you all a bit about myself that none of you know.

I was born into a very poor Family - my ancestors come from Ireland and Holland.

I was brought up as a Christian within the Church of England. But I have Friends that are Catholics - Hindus - Buddhists - Scientologists - Mormons - Jehovah Witness's - White Witches - Atheists - Druids - Jews - and probably other Religions.

My second eldest Brother Married a mix raced girl - so many of my Nieces and Nephews and their own Children come from mix race.

My third eldest Brother's Wife comes from Goa in India.

Here is something that most of you do not know as I have hidden it for so many years - I am Gay - I have had the good fortune to have met a partner and spent the past 34 years with him in a stable relationship.

I get along with all these people so wonderfully well - we all have different Religions or views on different subjects but the important thing is that we all get along with each other and respect each other no matter who we are are or where we come from or what views we all carry. We all have various skin colouring but we do not see that someone might have a different shade or colour to our own.

Many of you do know that I like to debate different issues - I enjoy this because I learn from other people - it is a learning process for me personally - unfortunately one or two people think that it is just a way of me being argumentative.

I do have faults, I know that - but don't we all.

My language is not perfect and the way in which I phrase things could be better - but doesn't it make life interesting that we are not all perfect nor do we have the same ideas/views/Religion.

Skin colouring can be a bit of a nightmare because if you dis-agree with someone then you can be accused of being a racist - which is exactly what I am now being accused of being by Sanjay Bagga the Promoter at LDN.

I am a 56 year old physically disabled Homosexual that has paranoid schizophrenia. depression, anxiety. I live my life by Christian values. I love my fellow Man/Woman.

I do not tell lies.

I leave it for you to decide whether I am racist/sexist/ageist/homophobic or anything else.

Ian, you have nothing to worry about. In all the time i have been on this site I have found you to be nothing but helpful and polite. I think that S.B is spitting out the dummy after you pointed out some home thruths to him that he probably didnt want to hear. Infact, thinking about it, I cant even remember you being arrogant or belittling anybody in a SINGLE post.

Ian you are great please don't change for anyone.

No your not. I agree with a lot of the comments here. It is always a pleasure to hear from you on my topics and I consider you a friend. I am not bothered about you being gay, good luck to you.
