Robbie will now be able to have a tad more recognition amongst the younger Wrestling fans. The only way he was going to be on televison on a world wide recognised show was doing the job to Shane O'Mac, then he made the right choice.
Would of been better if they had a more competative match i agree, but if Regal is going to struggle getting a victory over the like of Brian Kendrick, no way a waif life Brookside is going to beat Umaga or Shane.

Plus it's a way for Robbie to be seen. You never know what they will want you to do when you show up. But if your professional they may use you again in the future.

And let's face it they were hardly going to let an outsider win now were they?

Brookside probably gained more recognition and made more money by doing a 5 minute job for WWE than he usually makes in a week of working at home.
We are aware of Brookside over here. Steve (William) Regal is always bringing his name up when he gives print interviews as the guy who should be signed by the company _base_d on his skills. Plus, many of us have read Garfield's The Wrestling and learned more about this undiscovered talent.
