WWE RAW RATINGS ON THE WAY DOWN 1 Year, 3 Months ago

Well with the way the WWE as been going finally people are getting the message
It would be an understatement to say that WWE is concerned about last night’s RAW rating. With the recently slump that the show has been doing for the past three weeks (scoring consecutive 3.4 cable ratings) there has been a significant amount of pressure on both WWE and the USA Network to bring the numbers up. The concern has grown to serious proportions and is a top priority issue starting at the top of WWE.
To put it in perspective, last week’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown did a 2.6 broadcast rating, with a 5.1 share on the CW Network. That number was good enough to put the show very close to the number of total viewers that last week’s edition of RAW did. That figure alone scares WWE as RAW is considered to be the top brand which of course airs live. AM RAW on July 21st did a 0.5 cable rating, with a 2.3 share.

Injured top liners, Benoit tradegy and basically a cruddy show all round contribute to the falling numbers.
If WWE just got back pushed wrestling rather than soap opera, things may pick up and pull back the wrestling fans.

And now Lashley is out injured so things will be stretched even more.

Vinces fault for not allowing undercard talent to shine. Otherwise he would of just pushed another strong mid carder into the main event. But of course, that would take away a bit of star power to Triple H. Can't have that.
You can tell ECW and Smackdown will push the odd wrestler to the top, like King Booker, have them come to Raw and Triple H wil squash them. With the exception of John Cena strangely.
Umaga will have to turn face, Kane needs a mega push, and not have Shane O Mac be a superman at his expense like last time. Randy Orton is also going to be a contender again, especially as hes going to be feuding with Triple H. MVP will probably turn face for Smackdown, while ECW will swim in sh*t.

Can anyone see them ever ending the Brand Extension? I sure wish they would and many others on some other Wrestling sites I go on do also.

They not got ideas to spread around. But at the same time, WWE made yet another huge profit in the first 3 months of this year (15 million) so on one hand they have 2 feeder brands to create superstars for Raw, whilst having Smackdown and ECW keeping TNA and ROH down the ladder.
I can't see it becoming one brand, but can see ECW being shelved.
