Anthony28, that is the most ludicrous thing I've ever read.

#1: Triple H didn't get to where he is by being married to Steph. He has had a slow and steady rise over the last 9 years, earning it, every step of the way after being jobbed out and trampled on for many years! If they were suddenly to divorce tomorrow, I don't believe it would have that much of a negative impact on Triple H's career the way people say it would. I think he would still maintain the main event slots or at least high spots on the card because he is just one of the best there is right now, if not thee best.

#2: When has Triple H held down or buried anyone's career. All the people you mentioned with the exception of Goldberg are still a part of WWE and in relevant storylines and feuds. Triple H had decent matches with all these people so how did he make any of them look bad? Don't know what this has to do with Chris Jericho, they haven't had a singles match in years and Jericho has just finished a great feud with Christian and is now kinda drifting between feuds until he finds something to do.

#3: Watch the elimination chamber again. How could you possibly say Goldberg was made to look like a pussy? Not only did Goldberg annihilate and completely job out 3 great wrestlers giving them no offence at all, but he also beat the hell out of Triple H and it looked as if Triple H was genuinely scared of him, especially when Goldberg broke the glass. Bearing in mind that Triple H was seriously injured at this time, he could still wrestle better than Goldberg.

#4: I'm pretty sure Randy Orton has broken through and far surpassed the glass ceiling. It's scary to thing how young he is and how good he will become.
You are obviously a Triple H fanboy who will never hear a bad word said about him. Everything you said is absolute crap and you know it, just like every other Triple H fan you will defend him to the death. There is no point me even arguing against people like you because you just cannot accept that not everybody likes the guy.

No, but nothing you are saying against him is nothing about the quality of matches he's had over the years with so many different opponents, that's my biggest disagreement.

If I said I didn't like Booker T or RVD on this forum, I'm sure there'd be outrage. In fact you've stuck up for them in this thread so you can hardly blame anyone else for doing the same. I wouldn't care if you said you didn't like Triple H because of his _style_ or even just because he's a heel, but not when you _base_ it on rumours and stuff which none of the fans could possibly know about because they're not there, that's when I start to think why they watch wrestling in the first place. Information becomes distorted when passed around and I wouldn't take anything for truth on the internet. The only real evidence anyone has is what happens in the ring and at the end of the day that's all wrestling is. It's not what happens backstage, that's their business.

And whatever happened to kayfabe and just enjoying wrestling anyway?

I don't care if a guy is face or heel as long as he is a good wrestler but it is the selfishness of Triple H and his egotism that annoys me. And as for kayfabe i really do wish we could go back to them days but the business has been exposed too much now so sadly the kayfabe days are just a distant memory.

Enjoy wrestling.....now there'e a blast from the past...

I have no great affinity with him, but HHH is a great worker, no doubt. I am sure that there is an element of nepotism, being the son-in-law and all. Jesus, I gave my gf's sister a job and shes shite, but I still give her work. Regardless of the family connections, Paul Levesque has worked like a bastard for years to get where he is, and I have no problem with him getting the rewards now he's there.

Going back to the quote about him jobbing to everyone at IYH PPV's, that was part of his punishment foe the MSG/kayfabe fiasco. It's a testament to Levesque's professionalism that he realised he'd acted like a twat, took his punishment and got on with his work, when it would have been easy for him to drop his bottom lip and fuck off to WCW with his pals Hall and Nash.

People would do well to remember that wrestling is about being entertained. HHH does that very well. Being the smarks favourite because you can bend over and shit out 186 varieties of suplex doesn't make you a great entertainer.

Exactly, I don't think anyone in the WWE today would have kept a stiff upper lip like HHH and stuck out that kind of punishment, some of those matches were truly horribly embarrassing
