I agree 100% with the balanced and thoughtful response made by Neil Sands.
It is a tragedy for all involved.

Do not judge him leave it to the holy father, mental illness is a terrible thing a doctor freind of mine told me the difference between sanity and insanity is balanced like a thin piece of cotton and could break without warning. No man in his right mind would have done what he is accused of.

I have not been online for a few days so only just heard about this and am finding it hard to take in. This is very tragic and sad news.

It is hard to deal with that not only one of the best current North American wrestlers is no longer with us but the 3 ladies of the ring I remember most fondly have all past away - Woman now joins Sherri and Elizabeth.

Nancy has managed 2 Cold Scorpio, Arn Anderson, Butch Reed, Chris Benoit, D.C. Drake, Dean Malenko, Johnny Hotbody, Kevin Sullivan, Larry Winters, Maya Singh, Psychosis, The Purple Haze, Randy Savage, Ric Flair, Rick Steiner, Ron Simmons, Ron S_link_er, The Sandman, Scott Steiner, Shane Douglas, and The Tazmaniac, among others

Thanks to Neil Sands for posting a fitting tribute to a man who was one of the few true wrestlers that the WWE had left.

It is impossible for us to imagine the pain that this tragedy has caused and it was reassuring, at last, to read something sensitively written which sums up the way most of us feel.

Nobody is excusing Chris Benoit, but luckily most of us are unable to comprehend the state of mind that a human being must be in to even consider such an appalling act.

Like many on this site I did not know the man at all, and like most when I read the news I was too shocked to think of anything worthwhile to say.

Others, who also did not know him, may have been wiser had they done the same!

Rest in Peace.
