New Japan on Eurosport 2 1 Year, 5 Months ago
Just caught up with this last night(half 10 to half 11). Does anybody know how long has this has been on for or what the schedules are for it? The promotion is full of amazing workers and well worth watching if you haven't seen New Japan before.

I never knew they were on. I know they haven't been on TWC for god knows.

Remember when Eurosport showed New Japan in the early 90s? When Jushin Liger was on nearly every episode lol. Also featured Hulk Hogan v Great Muta and them pairing up and taking on the Hellraisers (Hawk & Kensuki Sasaki). I still have that match on tape somewhere.

And the commentary from Oliver Humperdink and Greg Degorge.

It used to be my favourite program when it was on in the early/mid 90s. So many great matches and workers from Hashimoto to Muta etc, etc. Scouse, can you remember the name of the grizzled old vetren who used to be on it quite frequently? He was in his 50s (I would imagine) black trunks and boots, quite small and wirey with a bald head. His favourite move was the head-butt,(Which looked sore as hell!) but the thing I most remember about him was his amazing counters and work rate for a man of his age. This man's identity has been bothering me for some time now!

P.S. Wasn't it Gordon Solie along with Big Daddy Dink?

Yes it was Gordon Solie's "Ring Warriors" show I think? Our own Tony St. Clair was on a few times as well.

I cant recall the _title_, although the one thing that has always stuck in my head was when Solie used to refer to Owen Hart as Jim Owens for some reason. Maybe Owen wanted to get over by himself without having to rely on the family name? I have no idea!
