Vince should swallow his pride and get round the table with Brock Lesnar and see if they can work out their differences.

Vince should leave Lesnar out to dry. Lesner was NOT bringing in numbers that were any better than anyone else working for WWE at the time. He was green, and was pushed way before he was ready-or had earned his spot.

Brock Lesnar will in no way "save" WWE. Maybe if Lesnar swallows his (oversized) opinion of himself, and actually learns about how the business is run, he might be an asset down the line.

Right now, he is overpriced and underperforms.

Harry, I don't know much about the USA scene, so I don't know if Brock was bringing in the crowds or not, but what I do know is that when he first burst onto the scene, my son (aged 12/13 at the time) and his friends were all saying "have you seen this Brock Lesnar guy?", which is something they didn't really do as they didn't watch that much wrestling.

Then a few of the guys at the shootfighting club I train at started saying "have any of you seen the new guy on WWF tv? he has legit grappling skills" and then a few posts about him started appearing on the MMA forums in the UK saying "could this man cross over into MMA?".

When I was sent three tickets to go and see WWE at the Manchester M.E.N. arena, the headline match was Brock versus Edge, the place was sold out (around 15,000 people) and the crowd were definitely behind Lesnar, who was still a heel at that point.

So maybe he was just more popular over here than in the USA? I don't know.

What I do know is that I have read that the WWE ratings and attendances are down and don't show any sign of improving significantly, although I am sure that Wrestlemania will do well. I know that people are already sick of Triple H being the focal point week in and week out on Raw and I am sure that I read that Ric Flair was getting a bigger crowd pop than Randy Orton, another "future of the company" champion. Ratings in the UK for WWE TV must have fallen recently because the Saturday morning shows (about 3 hours worth) have been moved to a minor channel.

Harry, I don't disagree with what you say, because I don't know enough about the USA scene, but I am sure I am right in saying that nobody is drawing right now, and that Vinces attempt to portray Batista as the new Brock Lesnar, Goldberg, Ultimate Warrior, indestructable monster smacks of desperation.

WWE is hugely popular in Europe, Asia and Africa. The only place where WWE can't sellout is at home. Its a case of familiarity breeding contempt.

Biggest problem: Only a handful of guys (Michaels, Regal, Flair, HHH, JBL) actually know how to work. These are the only guys that have had enough varied experience to be able to read a crowd and understand the psychology that lies behind setting up and finishing a match. The rest of the roster knows how to do spots. That's not wrestling, its acrobatics. The crowds over here have gotten sick of that fact that the "braintrust" at WWE (namely Stephanie McMahon) put more emphasis on the "E" in WWE (entertainment) than they do on the second "W" (wrestling). The entertainment is sub-par (compared to other choices of entertainment on TV) and 95% of the roster can't actually wrestle.

Batista is about the only thing that getting over. His turn on HHH at last week's RAW scored a 5.0 share (i.e. 5% of the nation, who was tuned in to TV, was watching). RAW and Smackdown have been scoring 2s and 3s usually. During their peak, the WWF shows were drawing 8s and 9s! Times have certainly changed.

WWE just has lost so much talent since the departure/merger with WCW several years ago. Goldberg, Hogan, Macho Man, Big Poppa Pump, the Rock, Stone Cold, Sid Vicious, the Cat, Mike Awesome, Lex Lugar, and the list goes on. It's like they are using wrestlers that were jobbers back then as their stars today, its quite sad what WWE is today.

I thought The Cat - Ernest Miller came back a little while back?
Perhaps this was for a short amount of time.

Really, that would of been cool, but if he did I missed it, I cann't get into wrestling anymore, not when they have jobbers like Edge or Batista wrestling for _title_s.
