How do you rate WWE now? 3 Years, 11 Months ago

Got back a WWE tape I lent to a friend in January which was recorded back then and just thought to myself wonder how it has changed in just under a year?
How do you rate it? Better or worse?
I have not seen since then as I don't have anyone record it for me not having Sky are the matches better worked? Better than the indys? Have they made good booking decisions? Such as Benoit getting the _title_?
What about the new talent brought in over the year?
Also are TNA upto WWE's standard match quality wise(only see TNA occasionally)?
Your views please peeps

Hard to say really.
The storyline/soap-opera element has scraped the bottom of the barrel with the Snitsky/Lita/Kane incident, but is it really any worse than last year's Katie Vick storyline?
With the actual wrestlers, guys like Batista have started to give better performances, whilst guys like Cena have become stale, with gimmick given preference over the actual wrestling.
Some of the new ideas have been good. I liked Taboo Tuesday, and it's a shame that the low buy-rate means that it probably won't be repeated. I initially wasnt so keen on the Tough Enough segments, but Puder's shoot skills against Angle have generated a bit of excitement, and injected a bit of "authenticity" into it. And it was an excuse to bring Mae Young back. On the other hand though, the Diva Search and everything spawning from it has been the absolute pits.
On the whole, WWE is hit-and-miss. The same as it pretty much always is.

I caught a large chunk of Raw tonight while at the local Megabowl (for a works Xmas treat).
The first couple of minutes of the Eugene match actually quite surprised me, fairly technical with - wonder of wonders - rolling counters to armbars!
Is there any actual storyline reason behind this? Is William Regal supposed to have taught Eugene the British _style_ of wrestling or something?

William Regal was meant to have mentored Eugene, with a view to putting him off wrestling (a plot hatched by Eugenes dastardly uncle, Eric Bischoff) but liked the lad and helped him to be a better wrestler. This led to Regal doing a few run-ins to save Eugene which grew into the tag team they are today. Great to see WWE using Regal a lot more.

 think I'm missing WWE tv not seen for long..
Just a though are the indys really better than WWE?
...perhaps another topic really
The indys are inspired by ECW and Japan to some extent and TNA is inspired by WCW,but the WWE is still probably better match quality wise.
What new US wrestling would you prefer to watch ?
