Axe has always looked old so hes not changed a bit lol. Smash has aged a bit, but it has been 10 years since he was last seen wrestling in WCW as a glorified jobber.
They were a great team and they surpassed being Road Warrior rip offs bringing there own _style_ of brutality and double teaming.
I will always remember marvelling at just how strong Barry Darsow was at his Summerslam 89(?) with Akeem/One Man Gang (It may of even been a tag match, but the old memory is hazy these days!). The way he was able to scoop up and slam a man of OMG's like he was a lightweight size was amazing and MUCH MORE impressive than Hogan doing the same with Andre.
P.S. Who else remembers Darsow's match (As the Blacktop Bully) with Dustin Runnels in the back of an 18wheeler in WCW? Im sure that they both got fired over that one because both of them bled like stuck pigs and blood was a big no-no for Ted Turner and WCW back then.

The Summerslam match was a 6 man affair with Demoliton teaming with Hacksaw Duggan against the Twin Towers and Andre.
I haven't seen the mentioned match with Dustin Rhodes but i think your correct. I have also read the match was awful and the cage on the truck made the view terrible.
