Benoit himself can quite honestly go rot in hell. I think the WWE have - for once - taken the right approach by deleting their Chris tribute page and all other materials related to the man.

My sincere condolences go out to Frank and anyone else on the board who had the misfortune to befriend someone whom we now know to have been a profoundly evil man. I expect that many of you found him in life to appear to be a decent human being and my sympathies go out to you all now that we learn what a despicable piece of work he truly was.

I think we should particularly feel condolences towards Owen Hart's family and especially Bret, whose memorial match for Owen with Benoit will forever be tarnished by the association with this deeply Mephistophilean individual.

We live in evil times.

That was an underreaction frankly. I had to restrain myself from using any swear-words in that post. The simple fact is that if Benoit had not hung himself he would right now be in police custody on a murder charge and probably facing an eventual death penalty.

In particular, it scarcely bares imagining what Kevin Sullivan must be going through right now - his ex wife having been murdered by the very same man who stole her from him.
