To be honest I've got to the Fairfields and have seen a cracking show - for example the 3 way ladder match with Doug, Jonny Storm and American Dragon.
I think maybe Brian is doing this in the right way - if you noticed - the Fairfields hasn't been "dropped" - they have just cut the amount of shows that the venue shows. This could if the shows are run right it could intise fans back drawing bigger cards - I mean if you get 100 a month - why not get 200 bi monthly and save on the hall hire for one month etc
Just a possible thought.
Also I think the shows that are drawing the bigger crowds are naming their cards before the show which attracts the fans. Maybe thats a possible avenue for all star to try?

It should be noted last nights shows did draw roughly 300 or so which was a huge suprised and boost from there normal 150-200

when I said the figure of £2000 it was for the whole show and not just wrestlers.
For guys like Brian Dixon, Ricky Knight it is their livelyhood. you can cut corners so you save money I did that and my show flopped so you really need the money behind you and if the crowds aren`t there you wont make it.

Are the crowds going to come and watch wrestling now when every match on the card is the same and every wrestler does big moves from the turnbuckle and gets up to shake hands and take pictures with the fans after the matches. Is anyone going to pay money to watch wrestlers who wear t shirts in the ring and look smaller than themselves. Is anyone going to pay money to see what they think is british wrestling and find the card is full of has been american wrestlers or new american wrestlers that no one has heard off. Is anyone going to pay money to see a overweight little kid like myself who works in burger king during the day and is heavyweight champion at night. I dont think so, do you?

....I've read some god awful crap on this and other forums at times but this takes the biscuit....ASW will not be running shows at the Fairfield Halls until October of this year for two reasons only, the 1st. is that Croydon has been over saturated with wrestling over the years and needs a bit of a respite 2nd. the Fairfield Halls didn't have any suitable dates to offer ASW due to their increase in interest from other types of entertainment.....I can assure you that Fairfield Halls remain loyal to ASW just as ASW remain loyal to them. It's a good thing for Croydon fans.....so all you ill informed/guessers can step off your high horses and chew on fact, not your feeble imaginations (just for a change)...
