British Wrestling hasn't sunk. New School is a separate phenomenon from traditional British wrestling. From the early 90s until late 2001, never the twain did meet.Unfortunately David, you are so right. It's also unfortunate that many casual fans(who make up a big percentage of showgoers whether the 'marks' like it or not) do not disciminate. It's all wrestling to them.

At the old Norwich Corn Exchange the punters got involved every week, all the wrestlers pleaded to be baby faces
rickToo right Rick, and great satisfaction was gained by the other fans when we watched the pricks get their come-uppance at the hands ofthe wrestlers and/or officials
The difference then was the interference was a result of the heat generated by the antics in the ring, with certain highly excitable individuals not being able to control themselves. Nowadays Very few wrestlers (esp. so-called 'new school') are able to produce this reaction. It has to be a 'work' apparently, and the fact that the promoter wasn't in on this particular occasion beggars belief in my eyes.
