I don't know why people paint Big Daddy as such an ogre and the man who killed wrestling on TV
He didn't.
He did however play a big part in the downfall of Joint Promotions, as fans and professionals alike defected to All Star in droves.

He didn't.
He did however play a big part in the downfall of Joint Promotions, as fans and professionals alike defected to All Star in droves.
I don't think so as the traffic went both ways as people like Jim Breaks, Kung Fu and Johnny Saint returned to JP as well as stars like Klondyke Kate and later Kendo Nagasaki appeared for Max Crabtree.

I would be interested to know how he felt towards the end of his career. Sure he had fame, but was he satisfied with his matches? I would imagine he was very frustrated. I often wonder if he was used.
