Problem with that _title_ is all them feds still have their own _title_s, which they should have scrapped to unify into a Universal British Heavyweight _title_. That way it would have more point and the companies would actually book the _title_ on their shows.

From a fans eye view , a lot of us old guys got excited about The Univesal Heavywieght Championship and applauded All Star, TWA, WAW, FWA & Pemier Promotions for putting 'differences' to one side and getting it going.Alas it didnt catch the fans imagination and now omly seems to be fought for on TWA cards, although I stand to be corrected.
I was told by Scott Conway himself that the fact that the Univeral British Championship is fought for on TWA shows mostly is that is actually a TWA belt. The other feds just agreed to recognise it - I think that's right.

Excellent point Spike-----(sorry no pun intended) your idea would make that _title_ really worth something. that comment of yours is one of the most thought provoking and sensible I have seen on any of the forums and its ideas like that , that can only help British Wrestling in the long run. Be interesting to see what fed owners think of it.

Fortunately most of the problems seem to be confined to the British Heavyweight _title_. Bear in mind that this _title_ was previously subject to disputes in 1958-1966 and 1981-1989 Other weight divisions seem to have remained largely unscathed.
A few additions corrections to my above _title_s list.
World Mid-Heavyweight _title_. :
An even better sustitute would be the CWA World Junior Heavyweight _title_ set up in 1993 (later than the last time the UK version changed hands) and which last changed hands in July 2000 when Eric Schwarz beat Karsten Kretschmar in Weinheim. (Several CWA _title_s outlived the CWA itself)
World Middeweight _title_:
The CWA set up a tournament to fill this vacany in 1984. This version continued past All-Star's 1991-98 revival of the _title_. Franz Schumann was still champion as of December 1999
European Welterweight _title_:
A feud for this _title_ was going between Mal Sanders and Kashmir Singh in 1994. Snders was last reported as champion.
