I think it is because they have so much exposure for a promotion that only puts on a couple shows a month.

But the way I look at it how can people be pursuaded if people keep knocking various promotions. Over the years I have seen several different promoters and I am not knocking any of them but I think that British Wrestling will do better if more people support the wrestling. Remember one thing several FWA stars wrestle for the likes of TWA, All Star, W.A.W so for people who dont like the FWA then for what they are saying is that they dont like Doug Williams, Jodie Fleisch, Jonny Storm, Flash Barker etc cos for those who hate the FWA then they cant say they like the wrestlers I`ve mentioned...now here's an intersting post! you talk about FWA stars, TWA stars, ASW stars etc etc...anyone who knows anything about this business will tell you that there is no such thing as the aforementioned...by that I mean no promoter EVER in this country have had a wrestler contracted to them....There is no such thing as a wrestler wrestling exclusively for one Co. or another, so forget this idea of yours and many others that so and so is a FWA,TWA,ASW etc. etc. wrestler..Wrestlers who are any good will wrestle for the company who looks after them with quality work, against quality opponents and quantity of jobs....for example, I'm sure Hade Vansen doesn't think of himself as an FWA wrestler any more than an ASW wrestler....You've all got this preconcieved idea that one should be exclusive to a particular Co....it's not like that and never has been like that....If I see a good wrestler whom I consider to be a good wrestler I will approach him/her and offer them work for ASW...get real everybody! wrestling is very much small time here in the UK... always has and always will be!!...Here at ASW we give everybody a chance no matter who they work for now or in the past, and proof of that is in the fact that ASW have given more try outs to new up and coming wrestlers in 2002 than any other UK promoters...

Who have they got to justify that ticket price ?
The WWA didn't charge that much & they had a far superior card (even though the shows were a little lacklustre).

If the fans think the wrestlers are worth it, then thats all that matters. Question: Would you rather watch Doug Williams and Jerry Lynn put in 100% for half an hour, or Sting an Lex Luger half arse it for 5 minutes and get pay thousands of pounds for it?

I know wrestlers are not contracted to anyone I was stating that people like the wrestlers I mentioned most wrestle regulary for the FWA and people slag off FWA but why? They are just another promotion making a name for themselves whether you like them or not they know there market and they wouldn`t have lasted as long as they have.

Like I always have said that for British Wrestling to make it big we need to support any shows by any promoter because one day there could be more than NWA-UK Hammerlock with a TV deal and that would be great competition to any overseas promotion.

It's true ticket prices are much too high, and if the radio show hadn't gon they would have been charging up to £55 by the march shows! However you gota remember that £35 is for the best seat in the house and you can get a perfectly good view from the £20 ones and you wont get splattered with flash barkers blood (as i did) if you do!
