Sorry to disagree with you good sir, but I think your pessimistic attitude is clouding your judgement again.

Were NWA-UK or even MPW to use Mr Danielson, I can assure you that his _style_ would be MUCH different and certainly more akin to what you would prefer your man to display. It's all about fan appeal and target audiences again.

I would like to think that a Hammerlock crowd has a nice range of fans, from the children that go mental for Jester and Psycho Steve to the more Americanised fan who may prefer myself or JP Monroe, and to the extremes of classic _style_ fans who enjoy John Ritchie, Alex Gold, Jon Ryan and Gary.

I don't think NWA-UK (or MPW) specifically target an audience, but make sure that there is varied talent on display, so that there is something for everyone. I'm sure there are a lot of other promotions and promoters who are much the same.

On a side note, I would love to have seen Dragon in action, and talked to him about the _style_ change.

Yes, but I'm discussing myself and the only group who runs near me is, sadly, All-Star. And, no offense, but the Hammerlock I've seen hardly makes me want to travel the 300+ miles to see the shows (and, in fairness, it'd take a J Cup 1994 level show to make me travel that distance anyway).

Not quite. Some of the matches and wrestlers I've seen have been stylistically wrong for my likings, yeah, but others haven't. The likes of Gary Steele work a technical, maybe it could loosely be called shoot-_style_, which I like, the _style_ anyway, it's one of my favourites. But the reason I don't lke what I've seen from him is because it's been so embarrassingly bad; striking that makes Lance Storm look stiff, the most basic of chain wrestling, embarrassing timing (he overshot a *standard* elbow drop by AT LEAST 12-inches) and, of course, no depth or meaning to the work. In fact, he's the first guy I've ever seen a Japanese audience openly laugh at (who's not trying to make them laugh doing a comedy match, of course) he was so bad in his matches for Zero-One; that says enough.
