This thread was split from the 'Joe Legend' interview thread as it was way off the original topic. It was, however, an interesting read which is why I made it into it's own topic.

Market research is something I'm very much interested in for my final year project (if I get it approved) and to be honest is something I didn't imagine any promotions actually did!

All promotions should do a little background on their target market. It's a part of every legitimate business these days. I have a new idea that Im trying out next week. If it works, I'll tell you all about it, if not.... I'll bin it!

I love to hear of how other promotions do thier thing. Its nice to see that people are starting to look deeper in to the world of marketing when planning shows.
