I just can't be bothered to debate something like that...Fair enough, but then way make "debate-worthy" points?
I enjoyed the match a lot,it was a refreshing change from the usual WWF fare at the time, but to discuss the inner workings and give a blow by blow accoun tof the match,I cannot do because I dont have it on tape, and even if I did chances are I would maybe have watched it once or even twice since.Alright then. The way to say your point then would've been something like "What I remember of a Dean Malenko and Scotty Too Hotty match is them having a good technical match which I enjoyed." That way, there's no real back-up needed because it's simply what you remember (perhaps vaguely) and you're not making a firm bold statement.
Just for the record, what I remember of the match was the usual Dean Malenko match (which I could get into but it'd get a rather long-winded essay-like post which there's no point doing here) with Scotty totally blowing off what was 95% of Dean's offence when doing the Worm.
As I have mentioned before,I am mainly attracted to the entertainment side of the wrestling.Which I won't hold against you

. Generally then, avoid attracting long, serious, analytical debates concerning wrestling matches. Or comments that might induce such (ie, say statements like what I put in quotes above, rather than "so-and-so had a great match").
And teh last thing anyone can do is call Dean Malenko "entertaining",despite him having (in comparison to others on the roster before you start jaqk)excellent technical skills.Um, what about people who might actually be entertained by "excellent technical skills"? And from a pure-technique POV, he does have "excellent technical skills" - certainly comparatively as you sated it - and I won't debate said point.
The japanese wrestlers comment I feel is perfectly appropriate as I have never seen jaqk be complimentry to any wrestler other than Japanese onesNo, but the chance to state as such never really comes up in debates and I'm not just going to post a list of American wrestlers I "rate" for no reason. I generally use Japanese wrestlers and matches as examples of points I'm trying to put across because, generally, they're the *best* examples I'm aware of. It's no pro-nihon bias.
I have no doubt they are goodThe wrestlers and matches I pimp above all others generally are (and agreed by all who've seen and understood them before any wise-ass comebacks enter people's heads)...
I couldnt say because I havent had the opportunity to view any, although I would like toIf you want any kind of "introductory" tape recommendations feel free to PM me or contact me on MSN (

it really annoys me when people try to feel superior to others just because they spend more money and have more access to some things than others do.That's purely a misconception about people "acting superiorily". There is no "Puro elitism" or any of that. It's more or less an excuse certain people will have made up at some point so they don't feel bad when more serious fans criticise their favourite wrestlers or matches because "Oh, they're just being elitist" or "Oh, they'll only pimp japanese stuff" etc...
And incidently,I honestly dont know what IMO means,so you won't see me using that ever."In My Opinion". It's what a lot of people use to "get out" of having to back up what they say. "That's just my opinion", "Everyone has an opinion" etc are generally just used as excuses to get out of any serious debate on wrestling (and other forms) boards. In other words, they kill all discussion.
