It is with great sadness that I have to pass on the news that Chris Raggett died today. He had been very ill for the last few months and many of you will have noticed that his name has not been seen on 1 stop for a while. I had met him on a couple of occasions and he was such a lovely genuine man. He was a great fan of wrestling and knew a lot of the lads personally. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Certainly very sad news, especially at this time of year. I had met Chris on a few occasions, the last time at the Wrestlers Reunion at Wayne Bridge's pub. He seemed in fine form, and to say this has come as a shock to me is an understatement.
RIP Chris
Think this is worthy of staying as an announcement.
Think I can only echo the statements of helen and Chris.
Chris basically only lived less than a mile away from me so I used to see him about Orpington quite a bit (can remember when he signed up that I was over the moon that there was more than just me living in Orpington who was a wrestling fan). He used to always be at The Fairfield Halls religiously from since he was young and he and his group always bought the same 4 seats in the front row everytime. He was also an avid photographer and was always snapping away at events.
I had been wondering where he had been as I've not seen him about anywhere (including Orpington) at all for a while and just hoped that he had just been busy and it was nothing serious. Unfortunately I was wrong. Lovely bloke - one of the nice guys in wrestling.
