I met Chris only once, in February last year when he attended a Saturday afternoon meeting in a Stoke on Trent pub with Rob Brookside as a guest answering questions. Everyone went on to the show at Hanley that evening with an appearance by some "legends" and an appearance in the ring by "the legend" Kendo Nagasaki along with about a dozen of us in the ring with him. At the end of the evening several of us went back to the pub including Chris.....this is where I met him and sat with him as he looked through some of my Nagasaki photo albums. He was a friendly, knowledgeable, smart and educated man with many years of wrestling shows to his name. May you be at peace Chris......God bless you Dave
Very shocked and saddened to hear of Chris's passing. I was at the Rob Brookside event too and met Chris several times at Hanley and Croydon. What a smashing fella. One of the real great stalwarts of the British wrestling scene. RIP Chris.
very sad news indeed..Just spoken with Brian Dixon as the news of Chris only just reached me (thanks HH x) ..on behalf of ASW and the team we are saddened by Chris's untimely death after his illness..Wrestlers don't readily make friends with wrestling fans for whatever the reason but I can honestly say that Chris was a very likable man with a great interest in wrestling, and very knowledgable too.chris had many friends inside the business and I'm pleased that I was one of them, he will be sorely missed by his family and friends in the wrestling world...God Bless
I too am saddened by the news of Chris Raggett's death. My sympathy goes out to his family and all who knew him.
I met Chris for the first time at this year's reunion, he was a lovely man who had an exceptional knowledge of wrestling. He assisted me in gaining wrestling information, for which I am truly thankful. I am sure he will be sadly missed by many.
