Alan Kilby 5 Years, 10 Months ago
Its great to see Alan Kilby still going strong and headlining RBW shows. At almost 60 years of age his love and enthusiasm for the sport is truly amazing. I personally remember his battles with Dave Finlay being some of the best of the 1980's.

Any other 1SW fans have any memories of the Deaf and dumb star from Sheffield.

Is Alan's son Adam still wrestling?

I always wondered if he was really deaf and dumb, guess that's the problem with wrestling knowing what's a work and what isnt, (see thread on wrestler hits fan!).

He is deaf and dumb...I can tell you that much, he is also in great shape for his age.

Well, deaf anyway. (his vocal chords may in fact be okay.)
Someone wrote a letter into TVTimes in the mid-80s complaining about Kent Walton using terms such as "stone deaf" and "deaf and dumb" to refer to Kilby.

Incidentally, since Kilby is reportedly retiring this year, anyone know what arrangements will be made for Alan's British Light-Heavyweight _title_? Perhaps when the time comes, Chic or Scot could contact Alan with a view to setting up a tournament for a new champion.

Alan is truly amazing. A true gent in and out of the ring. He pounded on me in the RBW rumble and I don't have one bruise, cut, bump, swelling etc to show for it. To question his disability (I always wondered if he was really deaf and dumb) is to insult the man. Why don't you ask him yourself? British wrestling will be worse off if Alan decides to retire and congratulations to RBW for bringing him back to where he belongs.

He also had his Light Heavyweight _title_ backstage which really does look the part.
