i shouldn't have read this.....things like this just p*ss me off! i mean, the amount of b***ocks that this report (and the public in general say about wrestling is unbelievable!

Heres some of the usual ones:
Wrestling doesn't hurt
Wrestling is fake
The matches are all planned and practiced beforehand
The promos are all _script_ed
The chairs are tinfoil (or variations)
The blood is fake
etc etc

And then we're the ones who get laughed at for being naive and stupid! And even now, when I'm coming back with 'Well I wrestle, so how come no-one has ever given me a list of moves' etc etc, the idiots stick to their guns.

Things like this make me tend to agree with Lance Storm, who says he wrestles light as 'there's no point being stiff as people are going to think it's fake anyway'. It does make you mad when you go out in front of people and risk serious injury and, certainly the way I wrestle, often pick up a pretty bad knock that would keep most of these idiots at home whining for weeks, and then somebody says 'Well it's all fake anyway isn't it?'

Can you tell this is my pet hate?

Alex Gold!

Hehe, yes its pretty obvious that this subject is one of your pet hates Alex but try not to let it bother u so much. Just wrestle each match the best u can and don't worry about the idiots who say its fake, they aren't wrestlings true fans so in my opinion they aren't worth the worry.

That's exactly why wrestling (or anything close to it) will never be on TV with a degree of respect or the possibility to present it as a sport... they have to present it as "entertainment" which is obviously just results in sports-entertainment BS which no wrestling fan would want over wrestling.
