What was the local pro wrestling scene like in Ireland back in the old days? Was it on TV over there? Clearly it was big enough for them to hold a _title_ match signing on a major TV chat show.

But was it a separate distinct wrestling culture from British wrestling or were the two heavily fused á la Germany/Austria/CWA/tournaments scene?

btw Quinn was not Irish, he was Canadian. He wrestled in the USA a lot and is best remembered Stateside as the "Kentucky Butcher" in the WWWF circa '76.
