Not sure if this is the same guy, but if it's the one I'm thinking of then he used to post on one of those american wrestling newsboards a few years back and then decided to run a show (think it was bwa/bwf or something like that). Then, there was a report of the show posted on the newsboard he posted on saying that he didn't pay some (or all) of the wrestlers after the show and did a runner or something. Never heard anything of him after that.

I can't be 100% this is the same guy though, but I definitely recognise that name.

Hello... 5 Years, 4 Months ago
After being told that XWrestling had been mentioned on 1stop, I figured I'd drop by, check it out, and since it seems like a pretty cool forum, I figured I'd sign up and let you know a bit about me, and XWrestling.

Lee is right, more or less. My background is basically that in the mid to late 1990's, I used to post on a few wrestling newsboards. Also in the late 90s, I got involved in the UK wrestling scene, and under the name of the BWA put on a show in my home town of Middlesbrough. A good show in terms of wrestling, but a major fuckup in terms of me failing to pay the wrestlers. I really don't want to go into that. I was a stupid kid, I had no business promoting a show to be honest, I made a big mistake, and I learnt a lot from the events on that night.

Now, with XWrestling, it's a hell of a lot different to anything I've been involved with in the past. XWrestling will be a success. I am 110% committed to ensuring XWrestling is a company that will deliver, and will not go down the same route of many other promotions that have been and gone in the UK. There's a lot of exciting plans in the pipeline, and things are going to take time as I am eager to ensure that everything is done properly.

I sincerely hope that despite my 'reputation' in the UK Wrestling Industry that this venture of mine is not slated on the Internet as a result of one (albeit a big one) mistake I made nearly five years ago.

This is the internet, where smart kids know what's best for all of us. Pop over to UKFF and have a read of some of the feelings toward John Farrer and Ryan Hewson that get rehashed every month or so.

Good luck in running the new promotion, maybe will see it someday (cough...Nottingham ) but be prepared for your previous venture to be dragged up occassionaly. Hopefully your maiden show will go great and you can build on the reputation of that instead of the BWA show.

Thanks for the comments. I've been reading UKFF for months as a guest on there, so I've seen a fair few comments aimed at both Farrer and Hewson, although to be honest I don't know much about how Farrer came to be in the bad books. I know of Hewson though. I really don't want to harp on about things. I appreciate some people in the industry (ie those involved at BWA) will more than likely still dislike me a hell of a lot, but I really want to look forward rather than behind me. Hopefully other people will echo this.
