The HOF is currently British wrestlers only, but there are future plans to open an international wing, but for the moment we are focusing on just the British.

Well, Tony St Clair certainly needs to be on there for his all-round and ongoing contributions to Professional Wrestling.

Lord Mountevans, too, made a stabilising and lasting contribution.

Inclusion of Judo Al Hayes would certainly be deserved but also political given his current misfortune: his induction would be something the Americans could pick up on Big Time. Now there's a thought.

It seems so hard to omit so many reliable workers with many years service: Honey Boy Zimba; Bruno Elrington; Steve Logan; Eddie Capelli; Jumping Jim Hussey. And many others.

Forcefully argued proposals may be the way of whittling them down.

Will they be whittled by the moderators, or do the masses have a say?
