I was told before a match to ask my opponent what arm he clotheslines with.

I learned the hardway that asking your opponent is the best idea...or you bounce of the ropes for a double clothesline and your on for a left arm clothesline and your opponent has his right arm stuck out.

It takes a good well schooled and expereienced wrestler to be able to switch so easily!

Not even going to contimplate how hard that has to be.

Re: for David Mantell 6 Years ago
On the negative side, millions of viewers who tuned in to watch Spurs beat QPR in the '82 FA Cup Final would first have seen Maeda get pasted by Crusher Brannigan & Skull Murphy and have to be rescued by Big Daddy. Such was life under the Office Hold ...

Aha! Now who was Crusher Brannigan? I remember him. a big hairy Canadian I think who used a top rope elbowdrop as a finisher. And I'm still trying to find out who Red Ivan was in the mid 80s.

And as far as the left hand/right hand side thing goes, would I be right in saying that it's as simple enough a reason as why we all drive on the left hand side of the country - so that everyone's going in the same direction?

That a very good way of putting it...the driving..._meta_phore if you will (probably not actually a _meta_phore but its 1 30 in the morning and you get the point).

Not even going to contimplate how hard that has to be.

We tried it once at training...putting a hammerlock onto the right arm and trying to get them to reverse it. Its just as easy as the left arm reversal...but you ever have to really think about it...or they just got stuck. This then led to someone putting a hammerlock on each arm and trying to get them to reverse that...I think Vainy still managed to turn it into a low blow :? ...

Going back to the original topic (before the big, bad moderators lock it for irrelevance!!) Jean-Pierre Lafitte/Pierre Quebeccer came over here for All Star in the late 80s/early 90s as part of Double Trouble Canadian tag team.

That was who they were - Double Trouble - I remember being quite impressed at the time.
