I see they do submisssions there as well.

Olympic free_style_ wrestling is very good, but it's a bit limiting because:

1)There are no submissions, only pinfalls.
2)The pins are only for a 1-count so you have to just keep avoiding letting your shoulders touch the mat.
3)The technique is rather simplified when compared to that of submission/shoot-wrestling ("the Real Professional method")

Talking of which, does anyone know which editions of Commonwealth Games Grandstand will feature the free_style_ wrestling event? I know it's the end of next week but I can't find any times quoted in the Radio Times.

Both _style_s are good in differnet ways free_style_ will improve your fitness becuase your always fighting and doesnt hurt as much as submission. But submission improves your flexability and your have more freedom with changing moves. On monday I nearly got my head taken off with a proper clothse line by a really big bouger and I think I shocked a block called Ian Bromley becuase he has been in tournaments and stuff and I was countering most of his moves (He made me tap twice) and I nearly picked him up with one arm but It was at the end of the session and I just couldnt be arsed. Matchs arent very long anyway you have 2 rounds of 2minutes so far I havent made it past the first round but I have had a bad ref twice andyou still end up knackered even if they dont last long
