DO WE NEED TOO MANY OVERSEAS STARS?
Yes and no!
Yes! Because they can draw bigger attendances. But looking on All Stars website for their new generation tour it looked like the overseas stars have swamped British Wrestlers.
What`s good for British Wrestling?
Build and improve the homegrown talent?
If you look at it another way the major American promotion is WWE. Those stars who are here can`t get the work in America, It is good to have the odd overseas stars but to have at least five on one show it is a bit much.
Lets build on the talent we`ve got and who knows British Wrestling may get the recognition it deserves.

I dont think over seas talent draws any more, than using british talent. It just things like, if you can afford to bring US stars over then you can afford proper advertisement, advertise a show proper and you will draw. In some recent research, the majority of Joe Public had no Idea who a lot of the so called big name us stars are, that wrestled in the UK.
All I am saying sure there is an audience, but unless they know you have a show it does not matter if you have 10 US indy ex WWF wrestlers on the card or 20 British Wrestlers. With the right advertisment you will draw.
It was good to see US stars on the All Star show.

Untill UK Wrestling gets a TV deal and can create its own stars the overseas wrestlers are the only workers that will be able to draw good crowds.

I think it does actually
I'll give Revival for an example - a few things infulenced my decision to go - 1. the closeness to my home (yes yes 358 bus route) 2. The fact that Chris was trying to get me in to British wrestling and 3. the fact that Eddie and Brian Christopher were billed on the card.
What I thought is if the UK stars were pants then I'd be able to see Eddie and Brian, although Chris had shown me a few UK wrestling videos I was on two minds about the show. But I thought, what the heck - try it - if you hate it then you hate it - if you don't then you've found yourself something else to like, and low and behold I liked it. I was impressed by stars like Jody and Johnny (it was the 1st time I saw a Jody/Johnny match), Doug, Scott Parker, (considering I was inches away from his balcony dive!) etc etc but I probably wouldn't have gone if there was no US stars there. Ok it did help that they were ex WWF stars! Another thing which didn't help Revival though was the fact that all of its advertising was _base_d on the Talk Sport show (which I stumbled across on Sat night I was V bored!)
I think that the companies should be more worried about plugging shows then the actual names on the card - yes have a show where for example its Doug Williams Vs Christopher Daniels as the main event but actually publicise it! I live in Orpington which is about 20 minutes drive in the car (when you follow the right road signs!) about an hour in the bus (cause it goes on a bit of a tour) but there was not a single poster in Orpington, or Bromley, or from what I saw even Crystal Palace! I mean even an add in the local paper or something would have done it considering that it would have needed to go in 2 papers. I know that this costs money but the money spent on that would have been made back in ticket sales. That at the end of the day is the problem - the promotion - and that would also probably hinder the federations in getting a TV deal as well

Whoever gets at TV deal aswell needs to get a bigger ring. 18x18 in my opinion. I know I keep bringing this up but its because I read a post on another forum about the Irish Whip show. It showed pictures of Jody vs. Jonny and obviously someone posted about the shanny size of the ring. I think small rings tend to make British Wrestling look cheep and nasty. Another reason why Joe Public stays away.
