Blue Buchanan 5 Years, 3 Months ago
I'm sure there is someone out there who can tell me what became of the young '80s star, Blue Buchanan.
I think he was the son of Dave 'Fit' Finlay, but stand to be corrected ( again FCC ).
He certainly wrestled in the _style_ of the young 'Belfast Bruiser' era Finlay, and was agood match for the likes of Ritchie Brooks. He sometimes wrestled as The Punk Rocker, but appearances were rather sporadic.

In answer to the last post Blue Buchanan was Princess Paula"s son and step son to Finley while they were married.Worked with him a few times in the 80s and he was a good hard wrestler.Dont think he wrestled for long and can never remember him wrestling as the punk rocker.Always thought that moniker belonged to Chris Mcneil of Birmingham who wrestled as Ziggy Zag the punk rocker.Chris wrestled as Ziggy Zag on cable tv when it was called Screensport in 1986.He was in a tag match with John Wilkie against Ironfist Clive Myers and the very first apearance in British rings of Fuji Yamada who later become Thunder Liger.Hope this is of some help yo you. That same Screensport show i tagged with Brian Maxine against Rocky Moran and Blondie Barrett. 8)

Thanks for that Keith - I was nearly correct on the Finlay connection !

Incidentally, what happened to the Keith Myatt who was the 'protege' of one Legendary Lonnie on Screensport Satellite Wrestling ? I still have a video of his bout with John Wilkie, together with footage of Rocco smashing Lonnie's LP records over his head and telling him that " he had nothing to do with wrestling."

Happy days eh !
Unfortunately mine is a tape I made of the highlight programme at the end of the season and is also rather ropey now, as I keep revisiting it when I get p*ssed off watching some of the less wrestling - _base_d 'wrestling' that is inflicted upon us now.
It's great to relive such shows as the 4 man KO tournament between Rollerball Rocco, Chic Cullen , Amazing Kung Fu and Bobby Barnes, and the bloody battle between Mighty John Quinn and Tony St Clair. That stuff knocked spots off anything shown by ITV on Saturday afternoon.
I must add 'In My Opinion' though, hadn't I ?
