I'm going to try this again. Seems that the boys at 1stop "lost" the last column.( It was the technology that got rid of it!!!- Brett) I know my writing isn't that exciting!!!, but......... Anyway, I was given a list of ideas. Mostly comparisions. The US v the UK, and how the travel is in each. The wrestlers, promoters, etc. I decided to keep my opinions about promoters to myself for a while. I might need the work. So I decided the best place to start would be with the wrestlers. I'll start with a very simple comment. The UK has the best talent I have ever been around. And that includes Japan and the WWE. I wrestled with the WWF when that office was loaded from top to bottom with talent. That era would give the UK a run for it's money, talentwise. Today's WWE may be more high profile. But once you get past Eddy Guerrero and 1 or 2 others, Vince's wrestling talent pool is very shallow. Japan has a few great athletes. And Masa Chono and Muta. But they don't compare to what you people have. And I say all this knowing I may never meet the UK guys again. Robbie Brookside, James Mason, Doug Williams, Drew McDonald, and a few others that don't come to mind are by far the best around. These guys are so good for one reason. They still have pride in who they are and what they do. Something that no longer exists on this side of the water. As long as a green horn here can get 22 people to go "AHHH' when he nearly breaks his neck, he's happy here in the states. Robbie, James, Kerry Cabrero and the like aren't happy unless they've created a piece of work that keeps the fans entertained and interested for 20-30 minutes at a time. THAT takes talent. Skull Murphy just came to mind. The Skull I met doesn't like foreigners. And he lets them know that when in the ring with them. I understand all the reasons. That understanding didn't make my life any easier, but I came away with a different respect for Skull. The kind of respect no one over here has any more. He's a proud man, and that carries over into his profession. I'm telling you folks over in the UK. You have no idea just how good you have it. When the greats that you have in your country make your town, so should you. They don't have all the lights and jumbo trons. They don't have all the pyro and explosions. They don't NEED all that to COVER their lack of talent. They can and will make you watch and enjoy. With pure talent. Something that is dead in the states. And will be in the UK without your support. Thanks Dusty
