The first two pairings for the IPW:UK Extreme Measures 2 tournament have been confirmed. Dragon Phoenix will face Sadistic Jack Storm and Jake will take on Flaming Red when the tournament takes place on Sunday,August 21st at the Orpington Halls,Kent. Also already confirmed for the tournament are The Pukka One Darren Burridge and Spud. The tournament is fought as two singles contest,leading to a no-rules single fall 4-way match,followed by the winner getting a shot at IPW:UK Champion,The Enforcer Martin Stone. The newly won Tag Team Titles will be on the line as AK-47 (Ashe and Kris Linnell) making their first defence. Tickets are 20 ringside,12 general admission (6 for children) or 30 for a family ticket (2 adults,2 children). The Frontier Wrestling Alliance will these weekend present two shows of The Summer Classic Tour in Morecambe and Enfield. The Morecambe show is Saturday,July 30th at the Dome and will feature The Showstealer Alex Shane Vs The Shining Light Stevie Knight in a non-title lumberjack match,Classic Colt Cabana Vs Wonderkid Jonny Storm Vs James Tighe,Spud Vs Ross Jordan in the final of the Flyweight Championship Tournament,Jack Xavier Vs Dirk Feelgood,The Iceman (with Greg The Truth Lambert) Vs Stevie Lynn,and Aviv Maayan Vs Declan OConnor. Tickets are available for this show,priced at 16 for front row,10 for adults,7.50 for children,and 30 for families,by calling the box office on 01524 582803. There is also a pre-show Good Times,Great Memories event in the Waterside Bar with special interviews and events. Entry is for over-18s only and costs 4. The following night the tour heads to the Southbury Leisure Centre in Enfield. This show is headlined by the annual Enfield Round Robin Tournament (where all wrestlers face each other),this year featuring Classic Colt Cabana,The Wonderkid Jonny Storm,The Phoenix Jodie Fleisch,and Spud. Also on the show is an FWA British Heavyweight Championship match with Alex Shane putting the title on the line against Righteous Paul Travell. Plus,the tag team titles will be on the line as Stixx and Martin Stone defend against the combination of Aviv Maayan and Ross Jordan. Premier Promotions will this week present a rematch of the contest which won 1StopWrestling Match of the Year 2004. The Assembly Halls in Worthing will be the venue when,this Thursday,Classic Colt Cabana flies back in to the country to face Johnny Kidd. Originally the contest took place at The Wylotts Centre,Potters Bar,with Cabana taking the victory by two falls to one in the fifth round. The contest was highly acclaimed,taking 43% of the votes in the 1StopWrestling awards and also being extensively featured on The Wrestling Channel. Cabana has been quoted as saying the match was one of his favourite whilst in the UK,and Kidd took the microphone after the match to say its one of the first times hes faced a US opponent who wrestled cleanly and properly. Also appearing this Thursday will be US independent star Chasyn Rance,who will perform a few dates for Premier Promotions during his short tour of the country. SAS Wrestling have announced to further contests for their event on August 7th in Harrow,London. "The Righteous One" Paul Travell has issued a challenge to any wrestler on the roster. This will,however not be a normal match,as Travell will only take a wrestler on in his preferred style – a hardcore contest! Also at the event will be Flaming Red,leader of The Chav Army. He will be in action at the event,as long as he can make it to Maccy D's after the show has finished! Midlands Professional Wrestling will present an event in Leicester on 5th August. This is MPWs return to Leicester since their charity event to raise money for the Vista Charity. The venue will be The Lecester General Hospital Sports and Social Club and the event will be no hold barred Central Counties Championship defence by Chris Charizma against Leicester’s very own “”Mad”" Mike Andrews. In a featured ladies bout,Jetta will take on Black Widow. There will also be an eight-man elimination tournament to decide the winner of the Leicester Cup. Competitors in this tournament will be Ronin,Hatred,”"State of the Art”" Leon Lionheart,Fanboy,Psycho Steve,Nero,Majik,and Jekkel.
