Elite Wrestling Federation in Sittingbourne

Posted on 23 June 2004 by Wrestling News

Date: Saturday 19th June 2004 Venue: Swallows Leisure Centre,Sittingbourne Match 1: Kraft Vs Rockweiller Rockweiller came out ready to do it doggy style and soon took the upper hand by use of the long blond locks of Kraft. The match was evened out as Kraft came back with a couple good high-risk moves. The match was pretty much back and forth for a while until rockweiller took charge and went for a moonsault from the top rope and missed as his adversary rolled out of the way. Kraft picked his opponent up and dropped him with a superb Samoan Drop to take the three count. Match 2: Tom Demorey Vs Joe Riot The punisher Joe Riot took immediate control of the match from the bell and showed without a shadow of a doubt why he is one the most dangerous men in the sport. He dominated all the way through. Tom did manage to get a couple of quick moves in but he had no chance. Joe just kept working on Demoreys legs. The pain was too much for Tom as Joe picked him up and finished him with a painful submission move called the Stretch Muffler. Match 3: Hotstuff Vs Rowdy Ricky Knight (return grudge match from Tonbridge) As always Rowdy Ricky was in no mood to play games,he did however underestimate his younger opponent. The Rowdy one had won the last too battles between these two but Hotstuff had a point to prove. He tried to use his speed and agility to get ahead coming off the ropes with two crossbodys getting close two counts with both. He attempted a third but the veteran Knight just ducked and Hotstuff flew over him and crashed to the mat. Hotstuff retook the advantage in the second round scoring the first fall with a Canadian Roll. This really infuriated Rowdy Ricky who distracted the referee to use the ring bell and again to choke him down with his towel. Knight evened the score in the forth round when Hotstuff tried to execute a Sunset Flip but Ricky just sat on his chest to take the one, two, three. At the start of the fifth round there was a lot of concern about the condition of Hotstuff who seemed to have breathing problems but he managed to battle on and finally landed the Sunset Flip to take a very impressive win. Match 4: Erin Angel & Paul Robinson Vs Phil Powers & Flaming Red The man with the biggest ego in the business soon got his mouth in top gear as he mimicked his smaller opponents. Shouldnt you be in bed little boy,its your paper round tomorrow, does mummy know your out. Go on and take your bird with you. He was soon to eat those words though as Pauls speed seemed too much for Phil and after a succession of quick moves he took the first fall with a beautiful Victory Roll. This infuriated the mouth of the south who then used power on his adversary to take the upper hand. He and the ginger one used quick tags to control Paul and even double teamed him while the referee had a hard time keeping Miss Angel out of the ring. Powers then scored the equalising fall with his finisher,a crippling Reverse FU. They continued to dominate while emotions got the best of Erin Angel who had to be publicly warned for refusing to leave the ring. Phil then went for a second FU which was countered by Paul who then put Phil down with a nice Super Kick,Red came in to cheat but he only received the same. The tag was finally made to Erin who came in and made the two clash heads together. She then sent Red into the same corner as Phil. Red fell down only to have Phils head fall between his legs, made worse by Erin picking Phils head up and ramming it again between Flamings Legs. As they regained their feet Erin came off the top rope with a Turning Crossbody to pin both men for the three count. Match 5: Scooby Vs Peter Nixon This was a personal rivalry that had started during a tag match at Tonbridge on week ago. Peter Nixon came to the ring with his valet, the delightful Venus, who was as always prepared to interfere. It didnt take her long as the referee was distracted with Peter she started choking Scooby on the ropes. Scooby managed to muster a comeback to take the first fall with a picture perfect Roll Up and Bridge. Venus once again began cheating behind the refs back and Nixon took the second fall with his feet on the ropes. Venus then tried to once again cheat but all she got was a slap from a rather angry Scooby. He let his emotion run riot then as he flew for Peter and the feud got out of hand. The referee had to call for assistance from the other wrestlers to separate the two,but this just turned it into one big brawl. Once the referee had restored order he ruled it a no contest and decided the best way to sort out the melee would be a Battle Royal. The match started and Venus tried to sneak away. Spotting her Scooby came out of the ring and threw her into the Rumble. The feud between Scooby and Peter continued as they were both eliminated and fought back to the dressing room. Also continued was the rivalry between Joe Riot and Flaming Red who have demanded a Falls Count Anywhere Match at our next event. The Royal got down to the final three Hotstuff,Phil Powers and Rowdy Ricky Knight. Hotstuff ducked a Closeline and delivered a double Closeline of his own. He then Drop Kicked Phil Powers over the top. Phil refused to leave and while the referee was forcing Phil out of the hall Hotstuff eliminated Ricky. The ref never saw it and Ricky came back in to throw Hotstuff out just as the referee returned. Kraft then returned to protest and this has set up a main event for the autumn return. This will be a tag match between Hotstuff & Kraft vs Rowdy Ricky Knight & Phil Powers and to make sure of no cheating there will be two referees, one in the ring and one out.

NWA Hammerlock Wrestling in Ashford

Posted on 23 June 2004 by Wrestling News

Last Saturday night (19th june) at the Stour Centre in Ashford in Kent saw the first ever inter-team event where NWA-UK Hammerlock team members took on NWA Ireland team members in many bouts on the card. This was the biggest audience to attend a NWA-UK Hammerlock Event in the Stour Centre for some time and a great night of action was witnessed by all in attendance. Results are below. King of the Ring First Round (Quarter Finals) Paul Vault beat Mikkola Smyth who was accompanied by Chamera Danny Garnell pinned Devilman Carl Shooter O Rourke over The Inve$tment Ross Browne. ORourke got the win when The Inve$tment who pretended to be Pro-English throughout the match lay down and allowed ORourke to cover him. Just like at recent NWA Ireland Events The Investment and ORourke then berated the crowd and left the ring to the booing and jeering of the Ashford crowd. Psycho Steve got the victory over Hugh Mungus via disqualification. But Hugh Mungus continued to pound on him after the match leaving Psycho Steve unable to continue in the tournament meaning ORourke got a bye straight into the final. King of the Ring Semi-Final Paul Vault advanved to the final when he was victorious over Danny Garnell with his Pole-Axe finisher Tag Team Action In Tag Team Action Paul Tracey and Fergal Devitt got the win over reluctant partners of fan favourite Kurrupt and the Bad Boy of British Wrestling Jon Ryan with their front slam/dropkick combination on Kurrupt. Ryan then attacked Kurupt after the match and Devitt and Tracey joined in to leave Kurrupt lying motionless in the ring. King of the Ring Final Paul Vault won the King of the Ring against Carl Shooter ORourke after failed interference by The Inve$tment Ross Browne caused ORourke to get pinned. Main Event Eight Man Tag Team Contest In Eight man Tag Team Action Team England (Zack Zabre Jr,David Deville,Danny Williams and Tank) beat Team Ireland (Paul Fury,Danny Renegade Angel Butler,Phil The Thrill Boyd and Paddy Suicide Machine Morrow) when Tank drilled Boyd with a huge powerbomb. Rumble Kurrupt won a 30 man Rumble last eliminating Fergal Devitt and Paul Tracey much to the delight of the audience

Wrestling Returns To Chingford, London

Posted on 23 June 2004 by Wrestling News

Live professional wrestling action is set to make a triumphant return to Chingford on Saturday 26th June 2004,when Revolution British Wrestling put on a second event at the Ryan Hall in Chingford Mount Road. This event follows up on a previous event held on Saturday 6th March this year, which saw a successful evening of wrestling take place, featuring some of the top wrestlers from the United Kingdom. The follow-up event promises to deliver even more than what the first event did. A top British Championship bout, which see the Welterweight Championship on the line,is set to take place,a tag team bout,a ‘Next Generation’ bout,as well as a main event putting unarguably two of the best wrestlers in the UK today against each other in a singles contest. Currently the show line-up has been announced to be containing the following: Singles Contest Mark Shaman (City of London) vs J.C Thunder (Soho,London) Two of Revolution British Wrestling’s top young stars are set to collide at this Chingford event, with Mark Shaman and J.C Thunder meeting in their first singles contest. J.C Thunder, representing the Southern Alliance, has collided with Shaman before, firstly being one of the wrestlers to cut off Shaman’s hair during a Hair vs Title contest back in February at an RBW Hemel Hempstead event putting Shaman against “”The Gift”" Ross Jordan. A couple of months later,Mark Shaman and partner Eamon O’Neil were unsuccessful in a British Tag Team Championship match against Chris Wyld and J.C Thunder. A stipulation has been made in this contest which means if Mark Shaman defeats J.C Thunder, then he and a partner of his choice will receive a contest against the Southern Alliance for the British Tag Team Championship. Tag Team Contest The New Breed – Ashe (Chingford,London) & Curve (Chingford,London) vs Sammy Ray (Chelsea,London) & Kris Linnell (Holborn,London) The British Tag Team division has had one of the most active schedules in recent months, with the ‘Southern Alliance’ holding on tight to the British Tag Team Championships. With many challengers waiting for a shot, another team are looking to get a shot, those being the hometown team from Chingford, the New Breed. The duo, made up of Ashe and Curve are a top tag team, who have made a good impression all over the United Kingdom. Doing battle with them, will be the reigning British Welterweight Champion,Sammy Ray,who has been in great form recently, defending the Championship successfully against many challengers, most recently J.C Thunder. Partnering Ray will be a new face to the RBW ranks, young star Kris Linnell. A tag team formed between the two looks to be a very good partnership, and critics believe that whichever team wins this contest will stand a good chance in being able to end the reign of the ‘Southern Alliance’ may soon be over! Battle Gauntlet Stars the wrestlers from the evening’s show,as well as a number of extra wrestler additions,in an over-the-top rope contest, similar to a Battle Royal, with the only difference being that the wrestlers will enter individually at one-minute intervals,as opposed to all at the same time. RBW London ‘Next Generation’ Singles Contest J.D Street (London) vs Romeo Jones (London) This RBW London ‘Next Generation’ singles contest will be the second-ever to take place. The match contains two of the top young stars in professional wrestling that have graduated from our London-based training centre. To meet in this contest will be J.D Street, who has an experience advantaged, having wrestled in various contests already, against Romeo Jones who will be making his second-ever wrestling appearance, and his first ever singles contest. MAIN EVENT – Singles Contest “”Wildcat”" Robbie Brookside (Liverpool) vs Johnny Kidd (Luton) This singles bout between two of Great Britain’s top wrestlers is one of the most eagerly awaited contests to take place in Revolution British Wrestling ever. Both wrestlers are noted for their respectful attitudes within wrestling, and this contest between them is bound to reflect that strongly. “”Wildcat”" Robbie Brookside has been on great form as of late, with several RBW appearances under his belt. Despite being a new face to RBW,Brookside, similar to Kidd, has been wrestling for over twenty years, yet is in great shape and likely to make an attempt at the British Heavyweight Championship, currently held by the forty year wrestling legend,Alan Kilby. Johnny Kidd has had a great 2004 up till the end of May,where he was defeated for the British Middleweight Championship by ‘Misfit’ Jorge Castano, which he won in January of this year. Kidd is notorious for being possibly the greatest technical wrestler currently active in the UK. It will be hard to predict a winner between these two wrestlers, and we can only wait and see the eventual outcome on Saturday 26th June. United Kingdom Pro Wrestling at Nye Bevan Hall – June 24th 2004

Posted on 19 June 2004 by Wrestling News

UKPW returns to London on Thursday June 24th 2004. Matches have now been announced and are as follows: Matches scheduled: Ethan ‘The Heat’ Hayze vs Kid Regis A rematch from the April 23rd event in Southampton, this will be Ethan Hayze’s opportunity to avenge a tainted loss to Kid Regis in the first round of a 4 man tournament. The victor of that tournament,Kid Regis, will be looking to build on his recent success and prove that he can defeat Hayze on his own merit. Chris Wyld has been taking credit for Regis’ victory after pushing Hayze off the ropes, allowing Regis to take the win. Not only do Wyld’s claims not sit well with Kid Regis but should he make his way to ringside during this match,Hayze will be looking for payback and plans to light him up. Marcus ‘The Toad’ Hiscott vs Chris Wyld Despite having a vested interest in the Ethan Hayze – Kid Regis match,Chris Wyld will have to keep his mind on his own match if he hopes to defeat ‘The Toad’. Marcus Hiscott is coming off a big win, having outlasted 10 UKPW Superstars (including Chris Wyld) to win April’s UKPW Rumble match. A singles win over Wyld is something only a select few wrestlers can claim and would certainly further assist Hiscott in his attempts to leap to the top of UKPW. ‘The Atomic Ant’ Anton Green vs ‘The European Icon’ Andrew Coyne All four winners of the recent UKPW tournaments will be in action on June 24th and this match will see two of them square off one on one. This marks the first time that any UKPW tournament winners have clashed in singles competition and will no doubt prove to be one of the most heated matches of the night. Andrew Coyne gave one of the most impressive performances in UKPW’s short hisory when he not only won the 4 man tournament but came within inches of winning the UKPW Rumble on the very same night. His opponent,Anton Green, was the man responsible for eliminating him from that Rumble and Coyne intends to tie up that loose end en route to a triumphant victory. Main Event: 6 Man Tag – Ethan Hayze & The Green Machine vs Andrew Coyne,Chris Wyld & Kid Regis Following the earlier singles bouts, all six men will return to the ring in a six man tag match. This promises to be an action packed contest and will likely prove to be the battleground where grudges (which are likely to be furthered that night) will either be settled orintensify much further. Plus: A new tag team will be introduced, comprised of two young, talented wrestlers from the current UKPW roster. PLEASE NOTE: CARD SUBJECT TO CHANGE The event details are as follows: Date Thursday 24th June 2004 Venue Nye Bevan Community Hall 107 Nye Bevan Estate,Overbury Street,Hackney,London. E5 Ticket Prices Adult – 6.00 Children/OAP – 4.00 Ringside – 7.00 Tickets will be available on the door or online at www.ukpw.com Doors open at 5:30pm for an 6:00pm start.
