Thanks to the UWA for the following press release: “”Further details have been confirmed by the Ultimate Wrestling Alliance for their upcoming Sudbury show. The event will take place on Saturday,April 24th at the Sudbury Leisure Centre. Already confirmed for the event is The UWA Champion,The Flatliner. The UWA Dancing Girls will also be in attendance, along with the impressive lighting and pyrotechnics which the fans who attended the Ipswich show will have seen. The UWA booking committee have also been in contact with Jake “”The Snake”" Roberts. After the beating he suffered from the hands of Phil Powers and Paul Tyrrell,he can’t wait to get his hands on them. Although a tag match has been scheduled for the next presentation in Ipswich (July),the former WWF star has said that this is too long to wait. Therefore the UWA booking committee are working on the best possible solution to the situation, which may mean a contest in Sudbury with further stipulations added. Keep checking back to www.uwawrestling.co.uk for updates as they happen!”" A combination production of the Waltham Abbey and Chelmsford shows from January are now available on DVD and video. FWA News Round up

Posted on 31 March 2004 by Wrestling News

Jack Xavier has approached FWA officials regarding a rematch against his opponent at New Frontiers 2004,The Showstealer’ Alex Shane. Xavier states that although Shane may have beaten him at the Brent Town hall (albeit in controversial fashion with his feet on the ropes),Shane’s promise to leave Xavier as a stain on the canvas’ remained unfulfilled. As Alex Shane was heading back to the locker rooms,Xavier was still standing under his own steam. Jack Xavier has asked Assistant Director of Operations,Justin Richards for a last-man-standing match at Crunch 2004 at the Broxbourne Civic Hall. Significantly,Broxbourne is the venue of Alex Shane and indeed the FWA’s only ever last-man-standing match. It is well-documented that Shane received a severe concussion and many facial lacerations in this contest. Although Xavier may have lost against Alex Shane at the Brent Town Hall,it was evident to most in attendance that the inner-fire that Shane was trying to awaken in Xavier was very much present that night. Xavier’s demands for a last-man-standing match at Crunch 2004 suggest that the fire may still be burning strong. Both men received injuries from their match at New Frontier 2004. Xavier received severe spinal bruising to his lower back while Alex,on the other hand, suffered serious damage to his ear drum which has rendered him 80% deaf in his left ear and will need surgery. If the match is signed by FWA officials,it could ultimately prove to be a very bad omen for The Showstealer’. FWA management are also in the process of finding a way to resolve the All-England title dispute between Hade Vansen and the Zebra Kid. It was apparent at New Frontiers that an ordinary match between the two was not sufficient to clear up the controversy, therefore an special stipulation is likely to be added to the rematch, should it occur at Crunch 2004. Once again, talks of a ladder match are circulating amongst senior FWA officials. At present,Vansen is adamant that he will not take part in a such a dangerous contest. We at frontierwrestling.com will have more on this situation as it develops. Due to their impressive performances over the New Frontiers Weekend, both Aviv Mayaan and Mark 5 Star’ Belton have been offered a shot at the FWA Tag-Team belts, currently held by The Family. The official Number 1 Contenders are currently the team of Simmons and Burchill. Simmons however has requested that he wait until the Duke of Danger is fully recovered from the sneak attack he suffered at New Frontiers. Officially,it was Simmons and the Duke of Danger on the contract going into the match-up at New Frontiers, and Simmons is understandably wary about teaming with Burchill again. Burchill’s manager,The Twisted Genius’ Dean Ayass is said to be livid ar rgusm and is currently trying to get Burchill a shot at the tag-titles on his own. We at frontierwrestling.com contacted Ayass for a statement. Here is what he had to say: I don’t care if I have to team with Burchill myself! If Simmons doesn’t have the guts to team with Burchill again,I’ll see to it that Burchill wins the tag titles single-handedly. Burchill has been in the FWA for over a year now and destroyed everything in his path. It’s about time he got a shot at some gold. As mentioned earlier,a mystery assailant attacked the Duke of Danger backstage before the New Frontiers event at Brent Town Hall. The attack focussed on the Duke’s previously injured arm, which had been broken by Hade Vansen on last year’s British Breakout tour. Although there were initial fears that the arm had been re-broken,luckily it appears that there was just muscle, tendon and tissue damage on this occasion. The Duke has been ordered by doctors to rest over the Crunch 2004 weekend. Official contracts have now been drawn up and signed by top U.S imports,D’Lo Brown and Sonjay Dutt. Both stars will now be at every event on the Crunch 2004 weekend. Morecambe Due to his win over James Tighe at New Frontiers,Mark 5 Star’ Belton will get his title shot against the champion,The Anarchist’ Doug Williams for the FWA Heavyweight Title. This match will take place at the Morecambe Dome on April 8 th . James Tighe will now face Sonjay Dutt in Dutt’s European debut match. Jonny Storm will face former WWE star,D’Lo Brown for the XPW European Title. Since Alex Shane’s recent loss to Aviv Mayaan at Newport on the New Frontiers weekend,he has vowed to avenge the defeat as soon as possible, and has begged for a rematch at the earliest opportunity. This rematch will take place at Morecambe. 2004 Rookie of the Year candidate,Eamon Shrahan will make his return to the FWA roster after his impressive debut on last year’s Northern Exposure tour. Shrahan will take on his trainer and mentor,The Specialist’ Mark Sloan. The Family’ will also defend their FWA tag-team titles against as-yet-unnamed opponents. Bolton Jonny Storm,D’Lo Brown and Sonjay Dutt will all compete in a 3-Way Dance when the FWA make their return to the Horwich Leisure Centre in Bolton on April 9 th . There is not yet any word from FWA officials as to whether or not Storm’s XPW European title will be on the line. Jack Xavier will take on Mark 5 Star’ Belton. If Belton is able to defeat Doug Williams in Morecambe the previous night, then this match will of course be for the FWA Heavyweight Championship. The Showstealer will square off against hometown hero,Damon Leigh. James Tighe will face fellow FWA Academy graduate,Eamon Shrahan in what is sure to be a very intense encounter. The Family will defend their tag-team titles against as-yet-unnamed opponents. Mark Sloan will once again have the chance to wrestle Aviv Mayaan, after their previous contest at New Frontiers 2004 was interrupted by the surprise return of Steve Corino to the FWA. We will keep you updated as the cards for the Crunch 2004 weekend continue to take shape.

FWA New Frontiers Report

Posted on 31 March 2004 by Wrestling News

Frontier Wrestling Alliance (FWA) – New Frontiers 2004 Held On Friday 26th March 2004 between 7PM & 11.15PM Location – Brent Town Hall In Wembley,England. This was the first show FWA was holding in 2004 as the federation is currently undergoing a relaunch, the last FWA event was held approximately 6 months ago. This event was the first time any of our group had been to an FWA event and it was definitely a memorable experience. The set-up of the ring was impressive and was better than the other wrestling promotions that we have seen in the UK. It was easy to see why the FWA is the number one company as the night went on. It was a solid show with a great crowd albeit a few exceptions. This recap comes to you from a second row perspective with a blurred memory. The event was so exciting the order of events and amount of moves was too much to take in. The event lasted four hours plus,a wrestling event well worth the money paid. We got there for about 6.15pm and there were already a lot of people gathered just outside the hall, and there were two merchandise tables selling programmes,t-shirts and videos. We bought a few programmes and Doors opened at about 6.45 pm and the event started half an hour later. Just before the doors opened CM Punk came out and cut a pre show promo and the whole crowd was chanting Alcohol with reference to Punks Straight-Edge persona. Boy did this get the adrenaline flowing through us. Flash Barker came down the isle and helped start the event,he got a monster pop from the hardcore FWA audience. James Tighe (2001 Rookie Of The Year) Vs. Mark ’5 Star’ Belton. The stipulation of this match was that if Belton manages to secure a victory that he would earn a shot at the FWA Heavyweight Title in the near future. This was a solid match by both contenders which had a good amount of time given to it. There was strong mat wrestling moves to begin with escalating into faster paced action. The crowd were into this one from the start, getting behind Belton for his wrestling and his humour in the ring and they chanted Lets Go Belton. There was this one funny moment in the match where Belton rolled into a ball and Tighe pushed him around the ring before Belton reversed the move out of nowhere. The crowd also picked up on Tighe for his interaction with the crowd and his up and down movements in and out the ring. Belton picked up the victory by shifting his weight when Tighe didnt bridge a german suplex. The match ending with Belton and Tighe showing great sportsmanship by shaking hands. So Mark Belton now has a shot at the FWA Heavyweight Title in the future, this guy clearly has a big future ahead of him and one of his biggest assets is being able to draw the crowd into his matches. XPW European Championship Match – Jonny Storm(C) Vs. wXw’s X-Dream This match was without a doubt the match of the night with its crazy blend of wrestling, charisma and heel heat. Jonny Storm who has held this title for over a year came out in a suit and refused to let the crowd see his belt and showed us only the briefcase in which he held the title. Jonny took of his suit in Shawn Michaels fashion to reveal his wrestling attire, when X-Dream entered the crowd were chanting Peter Andre as he looked very similar to the Australian Pop Star. X-Dream was a huge smash with the crowd with his cruiserweight style wrestling and crazy stunts he pulled off and it has to be said Storm gave as good as he got. Moves included a reverse top rope rana and X-Dream hitting a beautiful shooting star press and a plancha to the outside reminiscent of the recently retired Jody Fleisch. Jonny retained the title in this encounter with a wonderwall power bomb, but it didnt seem to matter to the crowd who were left in sheer amazement. The crowd were chanting Please Come Back as X-Dream left the ring. X-Dream truly is a European Phenomenon, and we hope he gets picked up by the WWE someday, the thought of him and Rey in the same ring together must make any FWA wrestling fans mouth water. ‘The Specialist’ Mark Sloan Vs. Aviv Mayaan This next match was one that had the crowd really into it even though it seemed as if many knew little of the two men. They wrestled well enough to make the crowd want more and pulled off some risky moves including Mayaan who is a rising FWA Academy star getting dumped on his head about 3 times with vicious DDT combo’s from Sloan. Everyone was impressed with Mayaan especially as this was his first FWA appearance. Before this match could end though a complete mark out moment happened with a surprise entrance coming from none other than the King Of Old School STEVE CORINO!!! Steve Corino and Alex Shane Segment Corino came into the ring and cleared it to much of the crowds amazement. At first our group had no idea who he was,but when people started chanting Corino there was no mistaking that we had the former ECW Heavyweight champion in out presence. To say that we were over the moon would be an understatement,as Corino was not advertised at all. He immediately took the mic addressing FWA Managing Director Alex Shane for not representing the FWA and said he didn’t do ROH because he wanted to represent FWA and Alex Shane wouldn’t let him. Alex Shane spoke on the mic not without the crowd showing their appreciation for Corino and their absolute distaste for Shane. Alex refused to give the fans what they wanted and shooted on Corino telling him we shouldnt feel sorry for someone who worked for ECW and MLW which both went Bankrupt. The crowd began shouting REFUND as Shane told us Doug Williams title would not be defended. Doug Williams appeared down the isle telling us he wanted to defend against Corino. To the crowds delight Shane was forced to agree as the crowd made it clear they would walk out if Corino was not granted a title shot. So later we would see an epic battle between Corino and Williams. Raven Vs. CM Punk (International Guest Match) Punk came to the ring first getting himself over as the heel through body language towards the assembled crowd. Raven came down and Punk backed down every time the two went to lock up. Eventually Raven grabs the mic and says Punk is a pussy and the two finally begin to lock up. Soon after Punk grabs the mic and says Raven is an inferior athlete,so he has to go to an inferior country to beat Punk. The two lock up again, but Punk leaves the ring and starts to walk down the aisle. Raven gets a “”Na-na-na-na Na-na-na-na Heeeyyy Goodbye…”" chant going, with an added “”Bitch!”" from Raven in between. After this the match finally gets going. This match is what we all came to see and was the main event in the eyes of most people. This was in fact the main reason we decide to come to the FWA event in order to see the Wrestling Observer 2003 Feud Of The Year. The crowd went into overdrive and flocked to the ring when Punk came down to the ring. He had major heel heat with the fans who didnt appreciate his pre show promo about him being straight edged and better than us. The straight edged one was booed and got himself over as the heel through body language towards the assembled crowd. Punk heard our group chanting TEDDY HART,TEDDY HART referring to a recent incident involving the two. We started jumping up and down with our WE READ THE RAVEN EFFECT.COM,RAVEN 08 09 1964 & CM U GOT PUNKD BY TEDDY signs hoping to get on camera. Then Raven came out and the crowd popped big time. Raven was here and everyone went crazy. The roof nearly came off. As if Corino wasnt enough chants of RAVEN filled the arena. It was surreal when they announced Raven From The Balaree; it was complete mark out time. Raven absorbed the cheers by lurking in his customary corner of the ring. Each time Raven and Punk tried to lock up,Punk backed out. Raven
gets a “”Na-na-na-na Na-na-na-na Heeeyyy Goodbye…”" chant going, with an added “”Bitch!”" from Raven in between. After this the match finally gets going. The match started with some hard punches thrown in and we got to see a lot of back and forth action including Raven hitting the Urinage (Rock Bottom) and the Drop Toe Hold on to the chair on Punk,to which the crowd chanted Drop Toe Hold. During the match the crowd chanted CM Spunk & CM Cunt at Punk who incidentally has not a lost a match to Raven yet. Punk picked up the victory with the shining wizard followed by the 1 2 3. He then went on to cut “”I’m Straight Edge and better than you”" promo and goes to DDT Raven, who reverses Punk’s attempt into a Raven Effect DDT to the crowd’s delight. This match had a very special feel to it as it is not often that we get American Superstars over here and the crowd was the totally in to it. FWA Tag Titles Championship No 1 Contenders Match – Hampton Court (Burchill & Simmons With Buttercup) Vs. Stevie Knight and George Costanza (Butler Buster) Before the competitors came out to the ring,it was announced that the Duke Of Danger had been laid out soBirchill would be replacing him in the match. Simmons came out to a mega pop,he was supremely popular and he came out to music similar to the original Hunter Hearst Helmsley theme. There were echoes of SIMMONS filling the arena when he came with his lovely maid Buttercup who was wearing a very short dress and she did a Stacy Kiebler when she entered the ring. The mystery opponents turned out to be Stevie Knight and George Costanza who to be honest we didnt know who they were. The crowd loved Hampton Court and a lot of people had trouble concentrating on the match because of Buttercup and our section of the crowd were chanting initially Shave Your Legs which then turned into a hilarious Pull Your Skirt Up chant. Simmons and the popular Birchill picked up the victory and are now the number one contenders to the tag titles throne. Then they announced a 15-20 minute intermission,we were burnt out from action. Interval notes Raven and Jonny Storm signed autographs for the fans to the delight of everyone. Raven charged 5 to get a signed picture. It was very overwhelming to meet the 27 time WWE Hardcore WWE Champion. amazing to hear little comments made by Raven as we stood around him. He didnt know how a 5 note looked like and needed help identifying it. Raven quipped Dollars and pounds, there all the same. He came off as a very nice guy. Jonny storm also posed for pictures and people were flocking to the video vendors to buy the Vendetta 2003 and British Uprising 2 videos, which had just been released. All-England Championship Match – Zebra Kid(C) Vs. Hade Vansen This match was a return bout from a previous ladder match that they had. The Zebra kid was another guy the crowd had wanted to see. Hade Vansen came out with driving gloves and a leatherette cape. This match had a lot of brutal moves and one wonders how these both competitors were after the bout especially as there were a lot of botched moves and because Zebra has a reputation for being Stff As Fcuk, well thats what his t-shirt says anyway! During the initial stages of this match Vansen showed off his gymnast ability by doing the Chyna like Cartwheels. Holy Shit! moves included a DDT to the floor, sunset powerbomb. There was this one moment in the match when Hade botched up the suplex on the guardrail and Zebra Kid’s knees smashed into the guardrail and another instance where Hade did a fantastic elbow drop on to the guardrail, which resulted in the guardrail collapsing. The ending of the match saw Hade getting a yellow card for cheating and then Zebra shoved the referee resulting in him getting a Yellow Card as well,a double disqualification was announced soon after resulting in chants of Bullshit! from the crowd. The crowd was also chanting Whos The Champion as this match took place in the first place because of controversy surrounding a previous encounter. So this will probably lead to a ladder rematch at FWA Crunch in April, which we will be attending. Alex Shane v Jack Xavier The next match saw the managing director Alex Shane face Jack Xavier who had an amazing 2003. Shane came out with security and new entrance music. FWA Head Official Steve Lynskey was referee of this bout, which was controversial,as he has shown himself to be far from impartial in matches. This match began well with some high spots and hard mat moves accompanied by the crowd chanting Refund at Shane. Alex took bumps making it seem as if no injury had ever happened to his neck. The fight went out onto the aisles and up a stage where Xavier was dropped off via a Hiptoss Of Doom resulting in the crowd chanting Holy Shit. Shane returned to the ring and Xavier was obviously hurt. It took a fair amount of time for Xavier to return and that he did with a bloody nose. A table was set up outside the ring with Xavier reversing Shanes Suplex and drilling Alex with a DDT into it. From our vantage point it seemed to constitute to huge impact seeming as if the table did not break. Alex picked up the win by using his feet on the ropes Family Segment The Family faction arrived to the ring and then Paul Travell came out to the ring holding a 2X4 with barbed wire wrapped around it. He was there to confront Greg Lambert & the rest of The Family about why they left him at the mercy of Ulf Herman & Mikey Whipwreck at British Uprising 2. The Family tried hard to persuade him to rejoin them and the crowd showed major heat for the family. Then Greg Lambert announced they had a new leader, and a large guy called Drew McDonald looking like a Steven Austin / Perry Saturn crossover who put on some weight came down wearing a bum bag. This got the crowd into hysterics with chants regarding this. Every word he said was met with a WHAT? from the crowd. McDonald then tried to persuade Travell to rejoin the faction. The Family then turned on two of their members Ian & Ashe to show that it was down to those members that these problems arose. To the crowds disappointment Travell joined the assault and hence rejoined the faction. The crowd then started chanting You Sold Out! to Paul Travell. This segment was definitely a big swerve to the hardcore FWA Audience. Then Mick McManus was announced as the guest time keeper for the main event,we didnt have any idea of who this guy was but the old man got huge cheers when he made his entrance,I guess he was probably has a position of authority with the company like co owner or something. Some guys in a few rows behind us were chanting,Wheres Your Wheel Chair? we fond that hilarious and we started chanting that as well. FWA Heavyweight Championship Match The Anarchist Doug Williams(C) Vs. King Of Old School Steve Corino This match was a two out of three falls match however most of us didnt realise this till they announced the first fall. To be honest the crowd would have been more than satisfied if the event had ended now without this match and hence this match was just a mega bonus. Corino made his entrance to his Horseman Intro Into Fireeeeeee. The crowd was spilt over whom to support for,as both were faces. The match proved to be very exciting with plenty of old school wrestling. During the match we were chanting Steve Corinooooooooooo Hes My Herooooooooo. Corino took the first fall making Doug tap to a move which looked very similar to a chicken wing cross face. Doug won the second fall although we cant remember what move he used. In the third fall Corino seemed to be well on his way to securing the last fall, when the referee got bumped to which the crowd chanted Ref Bump. With Doug down,Alex Shane came running to the ring with a steel chair and hit Corino when Doug was down. Doug not realising what happened, got up and did a splash from the top rope on to Corino and secured the 1-2-3 to retain the title in controversial manner. After the match both men faced in the ring as Corino explained what happened. The crowd then chanted REMATCH with both men showing respect for each other. Af

ter Show Notes Raven,CM Punk and Steve Corino were backstage signing autographs and letting fans take pictures with them. We got our programmes and signs signed by these superstars and they also posed for photos. I took my CM U GOT PUNKD BY TEDDY Sign to CMs table and boy was he not happy. He told me Do You Expect Me To Sign This and I was like Yeah Be A Sport and the crowd were laughing and he said Course Im A Sport and wrote You Are A Douche Bag and then signed it. Well hey at least I got a reaction! . We then went over to Ravens table and hung out with him and he was asking us whether we had change for a fiver! We also met rising RBW and FWA star Ross Jordan who was a very down to earth guy. Overall this was a fantastic show and its a credit to FWA for putting such a fan oriented show and Big shout outs to Dipan,James & Becki who were in our group and to all the people who were seated near us for adding the atmosphere and also to the guys who came and talked to us after seeing our CM Punk sign.

UWA Wrestling from Ipswich – Full Report

Posted on 29 March 2004 by Wrestling News

Wrestling made a return to the Corn Exchange in Ipswich on Saturday,20th March 2004. A packed crowd of around 500 witnessed a top-class show presented by The Ultimate Wrestling Alliance. The UWA Dancing Girls opened the show with a routine along to Britney Spears Toxic followed by an impressive pyrotechnic display. Rowdy Ricky Knight opened the show and instantly endeared himself to the local crowd by wearing a Norwich City shirt. After reminding them of recent defeats to his hometown club,The Zebra Kid came to the ring and relayed the days football scores to him, making him very popular with the fans. Ricky Knight showed off his power as he kept a lot of control in the match. This was not all through technical skill however,as straight punches behind the referees back went unpunished. The Zebra Kid seemed to have lots of fight,as he kept coming back from the punishment. At the end of a heated contest,The Zebra Kid came out on top with the only fall required following an elbow drop from the top rope. Next up was Paul Tyrrell taking on The Wonderkid Jonny Storm. This was a fairly high-flying affair with a large amount of technical work thrown in. The contest went back and forth, with both men hitting signature moves. An especially loud cheer was for Storm hitting the 619 on a fallen Tyrrell. Heel tactics won the day again though,as Storm headed to the top rope and Tyrrell accidentally pushed the referee in to them. As The Wonderkid was perched on the top rope,Tyrrell headed up top as well and hit a hurricanrana to win the contest. Before the interval it was time for the UWA Championship contest. The challenger,Steve Morocco, headed to the ring first, only to have water spat in his face during the entrance by the charismatic Flatliner. Although Morocco managed some offence,The Flatliners power shone through as he rounded off the match to retain his championship, and stayed in the ring for photos with the fans. After the interval it was time for the main event,a grudge match between Flying Phil Powers and former WWF star Jake The Snake Roberts. This match saw both men really going at it,with Powers cheating on a number of occasions by choking Roberts on the ropes. The Snake didnt take any of this lying down, and eventually came back hitting the DDT. Before he could make the cover however it was Powers partner,Paul Tyrrell rushing to the ring. While the referee was distracted,he hit Roberts over the head with a foreign object, allowing Powers to pick up the win. The final contest of the evening was an elimination inter-gender match, pitting The UK Pitbulls and Jade against the team of The New Breed and Erin Angel. Lots of action to keep up with in this one, with all participants, male or female, willing to face off against the other. The first elimination came about when Jade chased Angel in to the corner, only to find Erin had floated over behind her. Angel rolled Jade up for the three count. Angel herself was the next to be eliminated, suffering a vicious beating at the hands of both members of The UK Pitbulls. A double splash/legdrop combination was enough to finish her off. One incredible point in this contest was during a brawl on the outside involving The New Breed,Big Dave and two security guards from ringside. The Bulk suddenly climbed to the ring apron and his huge frame took out every man! Back in the ring and next out of the match was Big Dave,as he collided with his own partner The Bulk. This left the match as two on one Ashe and Curve of the New Breed against The Bulk. Bulk seemed to have it in the bag after he hit a double chokeslam, but The Breed didnt give up and after a number of kicks, managed to hit a double dropkick from opposite corners of the ring. Both making the cover, they managed to keep Bulks shoulders down for the three. Overall this was a very entertaining night by The Ultimate Wrestling Alliance. A good mix of styles,a high production value and superb wrestling made it a very memorable evening.

FCW – "The Road To The Gold Pt.2" results/brief report

Posted on 29 March 2004 by Wrestling News

The Road To The Gold Part 2 Baggeridge Social Welfare Centre,Lower Gornal Devils Advocate dft Jack Storm/Dragon Phoenix "Mr Bad Attitude" Saul Adams and Damien Grant continue their impressive winning streak with this victory over 2 of FCW's top fan favourites. Despite the efforts of Storm and Phoenix ( who executed a stunning 450 Splash from the top rope to the outside) their inexperience as a team shone through. Rumours are abound that FCW are introducing Tag Team Titles in the coming months,if this is true then Devils Advocate have to be considered top contenders for those belts. "High Impact" Sam Green vs A-Star Athlete Special Stipulation – If Sam loses,he has to leave FCW for 12 months. If A-Star loses,"4Play" will split. Sam Green's music played but he was nowhere to be seen. Kevin O'Neil announced that Sam had picked up an injury 2 weeks ago and hadnt been seen since. Therefore,if Sam didn't enter the ring within 60 seconds,A-Star Athlete would win the bout via forfeit thus expelling Sam for 12 months. Still no Sam,so he is now gone from FCW. Commisioner Woe then told A-Star that he wasn't going to get off that lightly tonight and that he had found a special opponent for him. That being the return of "The Sensation Of The Nation" Rob Hunter. Rob declared that he was back in FCW to destroy 4Play. (Rob had been kicked out of 4Play in January). Having not been in a ring since early December,Rob looked a little off his game, but in the end managed to get the win. Stage one of his plan was in effect. Winner – "The Sensation Of The Nation" Rob Hunter FCW Heavweight Title Tournament – Semi Final Laken Xander dft "Tomcat" Kevin O'Neil In the first of the evenings Semi Final matches to crown the first FCW Heavyweight Champion,it was Kevin O'Neil to take on possibly the tournament favourite – Laken Xander. O'Neil hid behind the entranceway and immediately attacked Xander upon his arrival into the venue. They both took the match to each other, both wanted the win so badly. Pin attempt after pin attempt it was straight down the middle all the way. In the end Xander picked O'Neil up and put him on the top rope, grabbed his head into a DDT position whilst his feet were still on the top rope and delivered a head busting DDT for pinfall. Xander was through to the final to meet the winner of Celt/Morales The Judge/Falcon/Marc Hogan dft The British Connection The popular duo of GBH and "British Born" Steele we faced with yet another 3 on 2 match, last month they took on Devils Advocate and The Bouncer and lost. This month it was the threesome of Marc Hogan and the tag team of Swift Justice (The Judge and Falcon). For he second succesive month the extra man was too much for The British Connection. FCW Heavweight Title Tournament – Semi Final Celt Kennedy dft Morales Their only previous encounter came last year at The Collingwood Centre. On that occasion it was Morales who came out the victor. This time though, there was a lot more at stake. Whenever Celt gets put into a tournament for a belt he usually comes out victorious at the end. After 14 minutes of brutal chops and spine busting german suplex's it was Celt Kennedy who made it through to the final. Knowing that 4Play were gonna attack Morales,Rob Hunter came out to help him. Then in an act that should have come as a shock to no one who knows the evil Hunter,he gave Morales the sickest "Money Maker" ever. 4Play are now reunited and still have a chance to get their hands on Championship gold through Celt Kennedy. Spud dft Majik This match had been originally scheduled for January, but had to be cancelled due to Spud breaking his arm in mid-December. Majik was not happy about this and publically berated him, calling him a coward. At Baggeridge in February,Spud finally accepted a match with Majik but not before Majik gave both Laken Xander and his valet Innocence 2 devastating DVD's. The match was on. Upon entrance Majik excalimed that he was "The greatest Junior Heavyweight on the planet". Spud made his in-ring return to Baggeridge to the delight of the regular fans. Back and forth match which saw Majik centering most of his offence around the still tender arm of Spud. Towards the end of the bout,Spud got waffled with a steel chair, which bought out Laken to give Majik his patented "Lakenizer",then Innocence came out,but Majik was to quick for her and set her up for a DVD. Suddenly Innocence reversed it into a tornado DDT. Spud was then waiting to deliver a springboard legdrop and the 1-2-3. Revenge was Spud's. FCW return to Baggeridge on Sunday April 25th with the final of the FCW Heavyweight Title Tournamnet Celt Kennedy vs Laken Xander On Saturday April 17th – FCW return to The Haden Hill Leisure Centre. Featuring "The Wonderkid" Jonny Storm
